The Deception of the World

This is a story about a girl who was admired and loved by everyone. She was so beautiful that everyone wanted to marry her, but the big question was — who would actually get to marry her?

One day, a  youthful man came to his father with great excitement. He said," Father, I've seen the most beautiful girl! Her beauty is unlike anything I have ever seen, and I can not stop allowing about her. I want to marry her."

The father, seeing how happy and eager his son was, smiled and replied," That’s  awful! Where is this girl? Let’s go and meet her family. I’ll help you ask for her hand in marriage."     So, the father and son went to see the girl. But when they reached her,  commodity  unanticipated  happed. The father, too, saw how beautiful she was, and for a moment, he was lost in  study. also, he turned to his son and said," Son, this girl is too special for you. You're still  youthful, and you do n’t have the experience to handle someone like her. She needs a man who's wiser and more mature — someone like me."     The  youthful man was shocked and confused. He could n’t believe what his father had just said." No, Father!" the son blatted." I saw her first, and I want to marry her. You ca n’t just take her from me."     The father and son began to argue, neither willing to back down. They could n’t  break the problem themselves, so they decided to go to the police station, hoping that the police officer could help settle the matter.

At the police station, they explained their situation to the officer. After  harkening to both the father and son, the officer allowed for a moment and said," This is quite a tricky situation. But then’s what we can do. Bring the girl then, and we’ll ask her directly who she wants to marry — her choice will settle this."     The father and son agreed, and they brought the girl to the police station. But when the police officer saw her, he too was  fully taken by her beauty. His eyes widened, and he allowed  to himself,  How could I let such a beautiful girl go to someone differently? So, he  snappily changed his mind and said," stay a  nanosecond. Neither the father nor the son deserves to marry this girl. She should be with someone of  significance and authority — someone like me."     Now all three men the  youthful man, his father, and the police officer — were arguing over who should marry the girl. The argument continued to get louder and more heated. Seeing that they were n't getting anywhere, they decided to go to someone with advanced authority. So, they went to the original minister, hoping that he could give them a fair decision.

When they reached the minister, they explained everything to him. The minister  heeded precisely and appeared to  suppose deeply about the situation. still, when the girl came forward, the minister, too, was  charmed by her beauty. He looked at the girl and  also said," This girl is n't meant for just anyone. She's too beautiful and special for ordinary people. Only someone of high status and power, like me, should marry her."

Now the  youthful man, his father, the police officer, and the minister were all arguing with each other, each of them allowing they  merited the girl  further than the others. The argument came so  violent that they decided to take their case to the  sovereign  of the  megacity. Surely, the  sovereign , known for his wisdom and fairness, would be  suitable to settle this  formerly and for all

When they arrived at the  sovereign ’s palace, they explained their situation in great detail. The  sovereign   heeded to their story, trying to understand the issue. still, when he eventually saw the girl, he, too, was  fully enchanted by her beauty. He could n’t help but  suppose that such an extraordinary girl should n't belong to anyone other than someone as  fat and  important as himself.

" This girl," the  sovereign  said," is far too special to be with just anyone. She's meant for a man of great wealth and power, someone like me. Only a  sovereign  is  good of marrying such a beautiful woman."     Now, all five men the  youthful man, his father, the police officer, the minister, and the  sovereign  — were arguing fiercely over who should marry the girl. Each of them believed they were the stylish choice, and none of them were willing to back down. The argument grew louder and more  violent by the  nanosecond.

Eventually, the girl, who had been silent this whole time, decided to speak up. She looked at all five men and said," I've a  result to this problem. I'll run, and all of you can chase after me. The first one to catch me will get to marry me."     The men, eager to prove themselves,  incontinently agreed. Each of them was confident that they could catch her and win her hand in marriage.     The girl started running, and all five men the  youthful man, his father, the police officer, the minister, and the  sovereign  — chased after her with all their strength. They were running as  presto as they could, each determined to be the one to catch her. But as they were running, none of them noticed the deep  hole that lay ahead of them. Suddenly, all five men fell into the  hole.

The girl stopped running and walked over to the edge of the  hole. She looked down at the men and said," Do you know who I am? I'm the world. I'm what everyone chases after, but no bone

can truly have me. People spend their whole lives running after me — after beauty, wealth, power, and success. But no matter how fast or hard they run, they can  noway  really catch me. In the end, they fall into their graves, just like you all have fallen into this  hole, and they still do n’t have me."

  Moral:

Chasing after worldly  solicitations is futile; true happiness lies in  fastening on spiritual and moral values.
